While we love to see families crowded in church to celebrate Christmas together, that won’t be safe this year. So we will have two options for Christmas.
1. We will have a recorded Christmas Eve Service online, to share at home. This will work just like our regular Sunday Services. You may decide this is the safest option for you.
2. We will have a series of very short, small services on Christmas Eve at the church. Each will be limited to 10 persons attending, and people not in the same household will be distanced around the sanctuary. We will gather, hear Christmas songs sung, hear the Christmas gospel and a message, light candles during Silent Night, and receive Holy Communion. Those services are scheduled for 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m., and 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24th.
You may reserve a spot by clicking the link in an email sent on December 10, or by calling Martha at the church office (745-9306) and she can make a reservation for you. She is in Tuesday-Thursday each week. If these spots get filled, Pastor John can add more services on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Please let us know if you have trouble finding a spot.
We appreciate your flexibility as we celebrate Christ’s birth among us. Mary and Joseph had to find room in a stable that night, and we have to make some uncomfortable choices as well. God be with you in this holy season.
