As projected, we are seeing skyrocketing rates of infection with the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of you now know people close to you who are infected, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are a time of special concern as families get together.
The Council has decided that with the higher warning level from Public Health officials, we will stop our indoor worship services for a while. We will follow the guidance that asks people to limit contacts as much as possible for this time. We will continue to evaluate conditions as we go forward.
Please continue to pray for those who are sick, and the health workers who are working so hard to care for them. Pray for all those who struggle in this time, and those who don't have work, or food, or shelter. Our calling is to love and serve our neighbor in any way that we can. That includes feeding and calling to check in on them, and protecting them from infection by keeping our distance.
God be with all of you in this challenging time.
